Clock In from Your Phone: The Kwilio Mobile App
Opening an app, hunting for a button, and waiting for a screen to load is friction your team doesn't need at the start and end of every shift. The Kwilio Scheduling mobile app is built so staff can see their shift and clock in or out in seconds — on iPhone or Android.
Your Shift, Front and Center
When an employee opens the Kwilio app, their next shift is the first thing they see: the shift label, start and end time, location, and a single prominent Clock In button. There's nothing to search for.
Once they're on shift, the app shows elapsed time and a one-tap Clock Out button, so ending a shift is just as quick.
Location-Verified Clock-In
If you've set GPS coordinates for a location, clock-in is geofenced: the app checks that the employee is on-site before starting the shift. The check happens in the background of the tap and takes a moment — staff don't have to think about it. (See our guide to GPS clock-in and geofencing for how to set this up.)
For extra accountability, you can require photo verification so the employee takes a quick selfie at clock-in. The photo is saved with the time entry for managers to review.
Shift Reminders and Notifications
Staff get push notifications for the things that matter:
- Upcoming shift reminders, so nobody forgets they're on the schedule.
- Schedule changes, when a manager edits or reassigns a shift.
- Open shifts, so qualified staff can pick up uncovered slots.
Open Shifts on the Go
When a manager publishes an open shift, eligible staff see it on their phone and can request it with a tap. The manager approves from the desktop app, and the shift lands on the employee's schedule — no phone tag required.

The mobile app talks to the same secure cloud backend as the desktop app, so a clock-in on someone's phone shows up for managers within moments, and a schedule change on the desktop reaches every phone right away.
The mobile app is available for iOS and Android, and it's included in every Kwilio Scheduling subscription at no additional cost. Staff sign in with the invite they receive by email and are ready to clock in on their first shift.
